8th Grade Photo triptych Books

We have just finished our Photography unit and completed our photo collection in a book that each student created. First we covered cardboard with different colored papers to make the backboard of the book.
Then we used acrylic paints to make different colored pages and techniques. Some things we painted with were baby wipes, credit cards, brayers, and ojects to print with.

Next we sewed the books together with waxed linen thread. There were four signatures so we had four rows of stitching.

Lastly we altered some of our photos with sandpaper, pointed tools and water.

Here are some of the pages inside the books. Everyone had very creative ideas!
