Linoleum Prints Animal Texture

The material we used is made specifically for students to carve. It is softer than traditional linoleum.
Sixth Grade learned how to carve relief prints and then we printed them. We had to use safety when carving with the sharp tools.
We studied about Albrecht Durer and his woodcuts and engravings. There was so much detail and texture in his work.

The students had to use a balance of white and dark while they were carving. Too much carved out and the design did not come out as well.
We also learned how to sign and number our prints like artists do. Each student made three prints.
