Sixth Grade is learning about Greek Myths in school. We made our own vases with oil pastel and black tempera paint. |
Before we drew onto the scratchboard, we made a drawing pattern out of construction paper . Each student chose a Greek myth creature or person from Greek life to portray on their vase. |
We transferred the drawing with the graphite pencil method . |
The students really enjoyed seeing the bright orange come through the black paint as they scratched thin and thick lines. |
See if you can guess the Greek characters. |
We have them all hanging up outside the art room on a bulletin board for conference week. |
