| This was a popular project with all my students in the middle school elective. |

| First we practiced different shapes we can make with paper cardstock. Tubes , cylinders, square shapes, and folded paper were some of the possibilities. Next each student chose an instrument and drew in their sketchbook. |

| The students were very imaginative with the instruments they chose. This one was very challenging. |
 |
| Only paper and white glue were allowed on this project. A hair dryer helped with the drying time. |
 |
| After the sculpture was built the acrylic paint was added for realistic color. |

| Lastly, the students had to learn how to use the needle and thread for their stringed instruments. |
