Drawing like Rembrandt

Today in 6th grade we posed for each other wearing crazy hats like Rembrandt liked to give his models. Each person took their turn either posing or drawing their neighbor.

Binding our Book we Made





After gathering 3 or 4 signatures of our printed paper we used waxed linen to sew our book together. Everyone did great for their first book. We added beads at the bottom to the extra string.

Zentangle Doodle in my Art Class



We started some Zentangles in the 8th grade classes this week. I showed them how to do the threads and begin adding the patterns. I had some copies of patterns published on the zentangle web site. They enjoyed making these and I will post some finished ones when they are done. We used the ultrafine sharpies and tagboard to make these in the traditional 4 x 4 size.

Hunter wins state Postage Stamp DAR Contest

Hunter attended an award ceremony from the Daughters of the American Revolution last Sunday. Her entry won the local and also the state division for the theme: US Land of Opportunity. Her design will go on to compete in the National Division. Good Luck Hunter!
