Welcome Back to 6th Grade Art

This is my Thursday art class finishing up creating collage on the front of their sketchbooks.

We used patterned paper, magazines, ribbon, stamps, puff paint and stickers. Each sketchbook was unique and a work of art.

Welcome Back Eighth Grade to Art Class

First the Paint is dabbed onto the surface of the water before the paper is put on top.

Suminagashi Marbling

Here are some samples of art the Eighth Grade did this week.

Students chose two colors and dropped them onto a pan of water. We used a chemical called Photoflo to float the color and separate the layers, then a piece of paper was laid down on top to catch the color.
