Egyptian Cartouche Tomb Paintings

We made our printing plates from thick styrofoam and carved hieroglyphics with a ballpoint pen







Sixth Graders are painting their Egyptian gods with watercolor and will mount them on their hand printed cartouche" walls."

Altered Books in Seventh Grade

Here we are using a brayer to spread the paint on the background.

We Recycled some old books from the library and decided to fill them with our art.

For the first spread we traced our hands and made a texture design. We used the tape transfer technique to collage our names . Click on any image to see the details.
