School Winner for AntiViolence Poster Contest

Here is our school winner for the Antiviolence contest. Emily did a great job. We are mailing in all the entries for the deadline this week. Hopefully we will get a winner featured on the calendar next year.

Van Gogh soft pastel Landscapes

Seventh grade just learned about Van Gogh and how he used color theory. We all created a bright colorful landscape with soft pastels. We learned to blend with our finger and to sometimes leave the texture of the strokes.

Eighth grade Musical Instrument sculpture

Eighth grade is learning about different types of sculpture. Each student had to choose an instrument to make out of paper cardstock. Then they painted them realistically and even sewed on the strings.

Seventh Grade Pottery Wheel

This week the seventh grade begun their instruction on the pottery wheel. We have two wheels so we have to rotate two students at a time. The rest of the class will be working on their altered book project.
