Clay Sculpture Sandwiches

The 7th and 8th grade Art Elective class used clay to create an animal sandwich such as those featured on the menu of the Roadkill cafe. We used pinch pots for buns, and slabs for the cheese, tomatoes and bread.
After firing the sandwich, we used watercolors to paint and sealed with a glaze. We hope to include some of these in the Park Meadows art show this month.

Self Portrait from a Christmas Ball

Sixth Grade learned about perspective in a convex mirror (a Glass Ball). They had to draw their portrait of themselves and also what was behind them. We used charcoal and Watercolor paints. We also learned how to mix flesh color with our paints.
