Making Posters about our Community

Seventh Grade learned about Toulouse Lautrec and his contribution to the poster as art. We talked about how he made his posters and the place called Moulon Rouge where he hung out. We divided into groups and designed their own poster about a place in our community of Parker. They had to thinks about the lettering and images to be a good advertisement for their establishment. Lastly each student carved a linoleum square to print around the border of the poster.

Acting out in Art Class

Sixth grade is learning about the paintings by El Greco. We talked about the dramatic nature of the baroque time paintings and the Mannerism style. We divided into groups and acted out a different painting. The rest of the class sketched the frozen poses in their sketchbook.
