We are learning about Vincent Van Gogh and the use of color in his paintings. I demonstrated the proper use of soft pastels. We started with darks and layered the whites over top. Just the opposite of working with watercolors.
The painting by Vincent was Wheatfield with crows.
The eighth grade designed their own pop tart boxes . We learned about what makes a product sell like bright easy to read lettering, catchy names, and offers on the back of the box.
Here we are critiquing the boxes to see if they included all the info on the box: UPC code, nutrition info, ingredients and net weight.
The students came up with great flavors: candy cane, red velvet, Christmas sugar cookie and more.
