Charcoal Landscapes of Ansel Adams

We started our unit on Photography and learned about Ansel Adams. His subjects were mainly national Parks.

Each student chose a photo of Ansel's and used different types of charcoal to imitate the texture and values.

We used charcoal pencils, vine charcoal, blending stumps and white charcoal for highlights.
