


The Eighth grade is modeling clay masks using the sgrafitto decoration. First they made a mold from a paper plate,newspaper and masking tape. Next we rolled out the clay thin to drape over the mold. Cutting out eyes, mouth or adding clay features on the face was next. Lastly, painting with colors and then scratching through to show the clay underneath was the sgrafitto.



The Sixth Grade has been practicing watercolor wash techniques using salt, alcohol spritz,wet in wet, graded wash, and then tore the strips to assemble a landscape collage
