Greek Drama Masks

Sixth grade learned about Greek and Roman Drama masks and designed one. They painted their mask template and then made paper sculpture for hair , beards, etc. Openings needed to be large to exaggerate expressions.

Love your blog site and those Greek masks. I am about to teach mask making with my 6/7 classes next term.
It will be inspirational for them

I made a powerpoint to go with this project. Email me if you want me to send this. Not sure if you have access to show this in your classroom. Thanks for your comments. The kids really enjoyed making these. We took 2 -45 min classes to complete this.
