Printing with Paper Towels

The seventh grade elective class explored printing with an unusual medium. We dipped paper towels in colors of liquid watercolor after folding and scrunching in different shapes. Next we laid down the paper towel on our paper to be printed. After placing flat objects on top , we Used a brayer to make a print on the paper beneath. The paper towel acted as our ink pad.

Here is the paper towel after we used them to print. They will become collage papers for our book covers.

Fantastic idea! Kind of like the reverse. You make the ink pad then the print. Very cool!
