Black Glue Ink Resist with Watercolor

SEVENTH/EIGHTH GRADE:
We are working on our Square one Art Project to send away to be reproduced on many gift items. We do this every year to help fund our art program.

The first step was to choose an animal draw on a watercolor square and paint with black glue. Here you can see the outline completed ready for the watercolor. We use artist watercolors that were donated to the artroom. We get very vibrant colors.

We practiced watercolor wash techniques we could use such as wet in wet.

Here we are practicing our ink shading techniques.

They all came out great and are hanging in the middle school lounge area until we need to mail them in.
