The Printing class learned to print using paper towels and liquid watercolor. We dipped one sheet of paper towel in three colors after folding the towel into different shapes. Then we used stencils and textures with a brayer to print our colored paper.
I love the idea of printing on unorthodox materials, like paper towels. I'd like to try this with my kids, but I'm a little unclear of the process. Did they press the stencils onto the wet paper towels and then print them onto white paper, or did they print stencils onto the paper towel itself?
