The sixth grade is learning about Gothic art and our clay project is Gargoyle Boxes. We are on the first stage-making the box. We used a cardboard pattern to help form the box. We rolled out the clay without the help of a slab roller. We used slats of wood instead to get the sides even. We texturized the boxes with different plates. Next week we make the sculpture and lid to complete the project.
