We started our Linoleum Print project after learning about the artist Albrecht Durer and his contribution to Prints. |
Each student chose an animal they wanted to carve and included lots of texture for scales, fur and feathers. |
This is the first time most had ever used the linoleum carving tools. We used bench hooks for safety and stressed carving away from ourselves. |
We took turns printing our plates and did 3-4 prints to get the hang of it. |
Pulling the print is the exciting part to see what it looks like. |
I was so thankful to have some parents to help with the printing. |
